Today was one of those odd days at work. I got a lot done, but felt like I got nothing at all done. Spent a lot of time working with the boss *grins* and getting ready to move desks AGAIN!!!

And I am rather amused at some things tonight. Which is a good thing. I think I've been far too negative lately, and need to find my happy place more often. Of course, ordering almost $100.00 worth of beads last night went a long way towards improving my mood.

BTW - it's nearly that happy holiday time of year again. If I don't already have your address and you'd like a card from me go ahead and either email me or PM me or whatever. My email addy is in my user info.

There's a wonderful article in the Times about Ryan Giggs' journey to Sierra Leone, where his father's family come from, during the recent international break.

Ryan Giggs is coming up against Third World poverty first hand for the first time and he is shocked. “You think this can’t be happening, this can’t exist. You hear about it, but then you see it and you think, ‘How can they be living like that?’ I’ve seen things that beggar belief. You think, ‘That’s what’ll stick in my mind,’ and then you see something else and that has a massive effect on you.” Has it upset him? “Yeah. Yeah. It has, yeah.”

Today was a surprisingly productive day! I finished another chapter of Vacation. it's posted on Pens and Pages for anyone who is interested.

And in finishing that chapter, I hit 62% of my writing goal for the year so far. That is huge for me because I don't think I've ever even hit 50% before! And I still have another month to write. I don't think I'll hit my goal, but I'm still chuffed!

Plus, I've got the new DTAB open for business. I'm still tweaking some things here and there, but it's looking good so far. And I'm looking for a few good mods to join the team!

MANCHESTER UNITED boss Sir Alex Ferguson is determined to win the scramble to sign £50million-rated Spanish striker David Villa, 27.
Alex Ferguson, with most of the £80m from Cristiano Ronaldo’s sale to Real Madrid burning a hole in his pocket, is
on alert after Valencia admitted they are seeking a replacement for David Villa.
The Spanish side are heavily in debt and need to sell one of their assets. Midfielder david Silva, 23, is also a
wanted man but it appears that Villa will be first out of the door.
Valencia boss Unai Emery said: “The exit of Villa will depend on us identifying a suitable replacement.”
Villa has been United’s top striking target ever since they lost out to Real Madrid over lyon’s Karim Benzema.
The Spaniard had said he wanted to stay in Spain but he now fancies joining United.
Despite Ferguson saying he isn’t likely to spend in the January transfer window, he will if he can capture the exciting Villa.
Chelsea are on the striker’s trail, too, while United also want CSKA Moscow midfi elder Milos Krasic, 25, and Palermo defender Simon Kjaer, 20
